at a loss
at a loss Didnt know where else to post this, so I figured here would be ok. I was at the track about a month ago, and it was going great until the last pass where it just died around the 1000 foot mark. Just shut off, tried to re start and it would just crank. Trailer the car home, go to start it, it fires and runs, put a load on it (tried to give it some throttle in 1st gear) dies. starts up, goes 10 feet dies. So we swap pcms, same thing. Swap coils same thing. (I checked with a timing light and we are getting random spark) No codes after ALOT of cranking. 3 different pcms, same problem. Two sets of coils same problem. Confirmed 12 v and 2 grounds at each coil pack connector, swapped iginiton relay's.... still no good. What the hell could possibly do this? I might replace the cam and crank sensors, just because.... to see if that fixes it, but what else could it be? I dont think its a wire between the pcm and coil packs, because I think there are 8 separate IC contol wires (1 per cyl) so that would be unlikely. Please help!
