Need help from you tuners!!!!
I had my 02 ss dyno tuned at slp performance in nj after it had its heads cam intake swap....we got decent numbers, but this morning after I changed the oil and my buddy reset the oil light(hitting the gas pedal and such) my buddy mashed it real hard and the throttle got stuck wide open(luckily the car was off) The idle screw on the intake got caught on a screw on one of the band clamps on the bellow......I unhooked it and realized that the throttle had been hitting this screw the whole time and only opening a little more than 3/4 of the way.....It was tuned with the throttle like this i assume because no one touched it since.....I dont know much about the tuning process but......will this affect my afr? peak output? any thing to be worried about? I appreciate all of the help........
Usually shops do a quick tune and they usually round up variables to the top. I'd say if it would affect anything, it would probably be the RPM ranges where the VAC / TPS / MAF did not go. AFR should be close.
CALL THEM UP N LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU FOUND? Maybe they'd do another ? They should have caught that !
I always check to make sure I have 100% WOT on anything, even my lawnmower! LOL...
