Performance tune with stock cam
I just de-modded my '98 T/A back to stock, but the PCM is still tuned for a TR224 camshaft and it was idleing very high. The throttle body was drilled, but I replaced that too, so idle may not be an issue. Long story short, I need the PCM reflashed to stock. The dealership won't tune just a pcm, they need the car present. The cam I have now is a stock '98 cam. The car was tuned at MTI around '04, and I am not sure what operating system or software they used. Not sure if the tune is locked either, which would suck.
Might need to go the mail order tune route if I can't drive it with the current tune. Am I looking at engine trouble if I fire this up and drive it to a dealership for a reflash?
