Hey Steve, just an FYI, I have both the beta and 2.22 and swap back and forth. The beta does some cool stuff that I need now and then, but most of the time I'm using the old reliable 2.22. You just have to swap installing them back and forth.

ok here is what i did... I started by writing the stock tune to just start all over. and now i got it to idle really good but still having a bad surging issue.
Could this be from fouled plugs and not to good of an alternator?
And i went ahead and tuned it in normal mode no more SD.
Hmmmmm what else i did add some timing down low in the crusing area to try and stop the surging but no difference.
And i am using the injector spreadsheet that you post some time back and i am putting those numbers in. The new injectors ar 42lb ford green tips. What i did was i put in 42lbs for the inj size the tested flow rate at 42 then my fuel rail pressure at 58psi. when i went for a drive my wideband was reading numbers all over the place like 14.7 to 16.8 just all over never steady.
here is what i have now tune and log of surging no wideband havent put it on the scanner yet sense my hard drive messed up.

I don't think a single one of those pics came out in focus. Looks like your running rich issue has them fouled. TOSS those overpriced Bosch Plantinum 4's in the trash. Start over with some inexpensive and frequently recommended fresh NGK TR5's (TR6 if using nitrous down the road).

I'm telling you start tuning this thing in OLSD. Dial in the VE table, then the MAF, finalize your fueling setting for daily use, work on timing, start over with perfecting the VE/MAF.

Map reading is high due the overlap of your cam choice...and the low maf reading at idle is due to the logged hrtz being low as it should be at idle...very little air is flowing at that point is what the low maf numbers translate too. No big deal!
