Default WB sensor location

I was reading through old threads on wideband sensors and I didn't find the answer I was looking for to the question I had. What bank is the sensor suppose to sit in? If the sensor is only in one exhaust bank how can it read what is going on in the other? I can't imagine it would sit all the way in the intermediate pipe. So what's the answer?

It doesn't really matter since you can't tune the fueling on the banks independently, but I installed mine in the driver's side collector since #7 generally runs the leanest. You want to get it as close to the engine as you can for the best response/correlation, and always before the cats if you have them.

I'm not sure what you mean by this but I did not like the readings
that I got with the WBO2 in one side of the exhaust.
I put it in the intermediate pipe under the passenger rear seat.

I don't think the WB all the way in the I-pipe would give an accurate AF reading since it is further back in the exhaust.

So I guess, it doesn't matter what side the sensor sits in?
