VSS question

VSS question I had the VSS turned on when i got my PCM but as of now i dont have a way to hook one up. Question is will the car run ok with it turned ON and the VSS not hooked up on the car or should i have it turned off before driving the car much .

i have a ls1 with a th400 in my mustang , just got it running. The pcm was set up for my gears and tire size and stuff to run the vss but i dont have one at this time. So i'am not sure if it would be ok to drive the car with no vss when the pcm is setup for one till i get it setup.
