so i hear if im swaping an m6 for an a4 that i need my pcm flashed..... what does that mean and where would i get that done? how much? and would they also be able to get in there and delete air? egr?(emissions) and rear o2s???? thank you.

 

where are you?

you have to get the PCM programmed, that means tuned.

 

flashed will only take you back to stock... you need to get a pcm that is from an auto car that will be your best bet!

 

indiana... in the sticky in A4 section.. they say to flash reprogram so that it works for an a4..???

 

Correct...you need to get your PCM reflashed with the same year A4 OS as yours, thats the only way, otherwise your A4 will stay in limp mode (3rd gear only).

 

Which begs the question: what year is your car? It's not in your signature, btw (hint).

Any tuner can flash it from a M6 to A4 or vice versa...........

 

95 camaro v-6 to 99 z28 ls1with current t56 looking for A4? when i get it flashed, can they remove AIR, andEGR and REAR O2s? new at all this stuff, so any help greatly appreciated?
also how about the wiring harness? its set up for m-6 could speartech switch it to A4?

 

Now going from a V6 to an 8, I'm not sure about the harness, Probably is going to be different, but yes all that you asked can be delted. Mail order tunes will re-flash to an A4 or M6 and remove all codes...
