Default tuning Issues with new heads and cam

I am going to install some Stage I heads and a 218/224 cam this Sat. What are some issues I can expect to deal with? I already have edit so taking care of the problems I can handle, I just want to get an idea of what to expect. Thanks for any help, and if anyone has a file for this combo they would like to share it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin

Wow, nobody on this board has ever dealt with tuning issues after a cam and head install.

I am new to this tuning stuff too, I am working on my 231/237-stock heads right now. www.ls1tuning.com

So far I have had to reset Idle speed, scale down the VE table in the lower RPM. For Part throttle tuning I have scaled down my IFR table by 88%. I am still figuring things out though, it is a lot of fun.

Later,
Aaron

depending on the cam i think you have to drill the throttle body hole a little bigger and do somethign with your idle, raise it up. that is with an auto and i think im really not too sure just tryin to throw some stuff out there, maybe someone else will chime in

With a cam that small I don't think you will have missfire codes, but some people have to turn that off or desensitize it after a cam change. The general after cam tuning procedure is to scale down the IFR table until you are loging -4 to -8 LTFT's at part throttle, then scale down the PE until you are at 12.8 to 13.1 WOT AFR on a wideband O2 meter. For idle you can solve most problems by increasing the target idle speed in LS1edit and scaling down the VE below 1200 rpm 10% to 50% depending on cam size. 10% should be about right for you. I'd also drill out the TB a couple sizes bigger as mentioned above.
