Default only starts with battery charger

I have a 99 SS and just built an engine, heads, cam, the usual. The car will not start unless a battery charger or booster box is hooked up. I checked all the grounds on the frame and block, everything is tight. Thought it may be a bad battery but swapped in a new one, and still nothing. Once it fires up, it runs fine, great throttle response, not skipping or anything. I would appreciate any advise or help. I need it cause this has me stumped.

i dont know anything about your build but i doubt it has anything to do with you tune or pcm i would say if it has alot of compression then it takes the extra juice to get it goin i have ran in to it on a sbc bunch of times once it seats and breaks in thenit should fire fine ... but then that is a speculation what excalty is it doin when you crank it? is it cranking do you have an aftermarket inggnition system what is your build need more info

without a charger, it will spin over all day, but only fires up with a battery charger. With the charger on it it fires up no problem. It was tuned on the old engine. The only changes were the cubic inches and a slightly bigger cam. Once it starts it runs great, even on the older tune.

well i knowthe ecm needs a minimal amount of power to run if your battery is bad that would cause it ... try getting a new battery with high cold cranking amps i use an optima
again do you have an aftermarket ignition

After about 2 hours of searching, have narrowed it down. In the fuse box on the driver side under the hood, i am getting power to the pcm fuse, but nothing to the inj1 and inj2 fuses, and according to the wiring diagram they also send signal to the coil packs. they are supposed to be connected in that box to the same source but for some reason there is no power. If you jump a wire from the power post on that side to one of the inj fuses, the car fires right up. I know about where the problem is, but still have no idea how to fix it.
