Ordered a new ECM....got questions I ordered a new ECM tonight for my 68 C-10 after the old one stopped working.
So I already bought a liscence through HPtuner for the old ECM. I had the engine running for a few days. So when I get the new ECM, will I have to buy another liscence, or can I assign the VIN from the old ECM onto the new ECM. I really don't want to waste another $100 if I don't have to.

Ecm Unless you have unlimited credits for that model year, then yes you will have to spend another $100 to license the new computer, they actually don't go off the vin# more so the Serial number is what locks the computer and that is something you cannt change, been their been their.
