How does LS1edit hook up?

How does LS1edit hook up? My PCM is hidden behind the center console of my 58 Vette. When I get the engine tuned, does the tuner need access to the PCM to connect the LS1edit cable?

The tuner only needs access to the diagnostic connector, hopefully whoever wired your car included that in the conversion.
