One way to tell year is by the connectors at the PCM. 99-02 RED/BLUE connector and 2003-2007BLUE / GREEN PCM connectors.

Do have to use the ECM that match your harness?
Ive got a 1999 LQ4 harness pinned for a 09254896.
The PCM that came with it is a 09354896 (1999-2000 LS1)
Does the harness need repinned or another PCM installed?
