Yep they are raising their prices. Although I have no idea why. Arent prices usually supposed to go down over time. If you're going to buy one do it before Jan 1st. I just ordered mine from TByrne and with his price match plus policy I got it for 312 shipped which is a killer deal.

There are reasons for the increase....
It sucks, it's a fact, BUT...
All I can say is, if you think V6.2 is great, wait a few months....
Of course existing (and new) customers can expect the same quick and personal support and service, and this fact is NOT going to change

That's all I am going to say, so don't ask me for anything else.
Get it now at the low price, if you can!

See the website and messageboards at www.efilive.com for more information.

Maybe the price is going up because there are plans in the works to actually enhance the editing functionality so it's a permanent editor as well as a scanner.

IMO $499 will be a fair price if EFI live is both an editor and a scanner in the future. Since it has limited temporary editing capability now, I don't see why full permanent edit capability isn't reasonable in future versions of EFI live. Just don't why it's taking so long.

If fact I was on the development team of EFI live, that's what I would be pushing for.

Hint, hint

EFILIVE is the **** !! I love it . If they could convert it to an editing software that would be great . Ive procrastinated buying ls1edit because it just seems like a huge gouge . They charge a fee for everything and dont even give unlimited updates . My buisiness would continue to go to Autotap / Efilive

Mmm, lets see, LS1Edit costs $550 (for 1 PCM license), it only edits the PCM, no scan tool ability, software is pretty average but does the job.

Why would EFILive want to charge only $499 for an Editor and Scanner in the one package.
Me thinks if EFILive releases a combo program (written as well as the scanner) people would be willing to fork out more than $499?.

EFILive is written in Australia, and sold in their currency. The US dollar has declined more then 20% against their currency, which means they are bringing in that much less for each license they sell. I bet the price increase is to help offset that change.

Is that with bi-directional controls? Thier site says 349.

289.70 is also without bi-directional controls

Is their a seller cheaper the 349?

bi-directional controls are good because you can make temp changes without having to program them in.
