Autotap question What's the difference between the new Red Autotap units (ATU= USB or ATS=serial) or the older black Autotap AT1 devices.
It seems you can upgrade the software online so you should have pretty much the same capabilities between the two set-ups?
Appreciate any advice on this.
Older ones can be bought used for $60-$75, where the newer ones seems to be $150 used or new for $200.

I don't think the black boxes support "CAN", where the red boxes do. From my personal experiance, unless you're on a tight budget, I'd look in to somebody else's product. Buy a used HP Tuner or EFI Live setup and use it as a scanner, (you don't even need any credits to scan) they does more, and work better.
