Default LC1 error code 2

i am installing my LC1 and so far i am having loads of trouble. i have the blue, white wires grounded to a lug on the engine block and i have a red LED connected in line on the calibration wire between the black wire and the common ground on the engine. when i connect the LC1 to the power source without the sensor it just continually blinks 2x a second then a 2 second pause then 2x a sec and so on. even with the sensor connected it does this. can anyone offer me some insight? this thing is driving me nuts!

How long does it blink with the sensor plugged in?
Powering it up without the sensor will force a free air & heater calibration
the next time it's powered up with the sensor plugged in.
It may just be going thru the free air/heater cal, after 5mins or so the LED should stop blinking.
Connected it to a laptop with Logworks while the sensor is plugged in if you can.

Does the sensor get hot, are you sure it's fully seated?

Error 2 Heater circuit open
Not the plug, the sensor.
If the sensor warms up then the 12v is not open.

If the Black "calibration" wire is hooked up to one leg of a LED and the other side of the LED is at ground potential you will be permanantly in calibration mode. The circuit is designed to have a momentary switch in line with the LED and ground. When you push the button, providing ground you will be in cal mode as you are describing.

In short, it sounds like it is doing what it is being told to do.
