Default A4 To M6 Tune?

If I swap my tranny to a m6 will I need to tune my comp. to a m6 tune?

Yes you do,

there's quite a lot of differences just in the engine part of the PCM, between an A4 and an M6 tune file of the same car model.
Just find an M6 file of the same year, or at least the same Operating System and flash that in.
Went through this in 2003 myself.

Wouldn't it be easier to just go in and shut off all the auto codes and redo your desired airflow tables? I'm in the process of doing A4 to M6 an it seems it would be easier to go in and change some things than reflash a whole tune? For the most part it would seem your tune would be carry over and lowering some airflow tables would eb all that is needed?

Well not entirely true, yes there is some difference but probably would not be as noticeable with your mods, It is affected more when you go from an M6 to an A4 due to the shift points..
