Default Problems after replacing O2s.

I had a problem where my car would feel like it was misfiring under acceleration and would occasionally backfire at idel. I had an issue with one of my O2 extensions. It fell on my longtube and the wires got burned and I thought this was causing my car to drive like crap. I had the codes scanned and it was throwing them for both O2s so I ordered a new O2 extension and some brand new Denso O2s figuring I'll just cover all basis.

I put the new extension in and the new O2s, had the codes cleared and the car is doing the same thing it was before.

Do you guys have any idea what could be causing this?

A good place to start is cleaning MAF and check the plugs, see if this helps.

I'm having the same problem right now...i replaced my O2's, spark plugs, cleaned the MAF, checked for vaccum leaks, etc. I hooked it up to my buddies HP Tuners and turns out i'm running really lean because of all my mods...I just need to tune the MAF (hopefully anyways).

But yeah, check your plugs and plug wires, and clean your MAF. From all the research I have done these seem to be the most common problems. If none of that works I would go to have it tuned or find someone who has HP Tuners or something like that and have them check it out for you.

Well I asked around and heard that a bad coolant temp sensor can cause this. A guy I know didn't have a code or anything and put a new sensor in his and the car drove great. I replaced mine today and it still did it the first 2 times I drove it but on the 3rd engine cycle I drove it over 10 miles and it drove like a champ.

My friend also suggested it might be the Air Temp Sensor because it's way cooler at night but I drove it last night and it drove crappy.

I reset the PCM today via the old pulling fuses trick. First time I've done that in over a year. I drove the car around near my neighborhood and then to school and it's driving pretty good now. It still has a little hesitation down low but I think that my be because of the plug wires because they're over 2 years old.
