Default Rough Starts When warm MORE INFO

For as long as I care to remember my car has a rough idle on startup. Cold starts are fine but when it starts up warm its just a dog for a second.

My tuner said it is most likely from me over porting my throttle body. Well thats been replaced and I still have the problem.

So now I move onto my O2s. One toggles and one sits dead at 450mv on my interceptor gauge and 360mv on my Fluke.

Another weird thing is that when I unplug the O2s the interceptor is sill showing 450mv. And I switched the O2s from side to side so it makes me believe that my O2s are fine. Im so confused.

The O2s are fairly new since the old ones were nearly dead.

When its running crappy right on the startup the INJ PW (ms) 6.5-7ms and when it smooths out and idles fin its 2.5ms

you are describing what could be a heat soaked IAT sensor..

I dont think thats the problem but Im open to suggestions. What should I do to test your theory?

I'll bet that is your problem! I am going through the same thing and am going to do dual IAT sensors

so what should I do to test it? Run some jumper wires out so the sensor sits outside the car to test it?

Unplug it when you are about to hot start it. If it starts fine, that was your problem, but don't go wot with it unplugged.

Ok did that and made the car run worse on startup. The idle down and surging will happen at stop lights and occasionally the idle will hang for a few seconds. This is only when the car is warm though.

What does your scanner say IATs are during hard starts vs. what it says they are at 5 minutes later (or however long) when the car settles down?

Depending on how much time has gone by before re-starting the engine,
the PCM will be in open loop.
The high ECT areas of the open loop fuel table might be set too rich.
IBPW between 6-7ms at start up makes me think this.
Can you log commanded AFR or commanded EQ?

Well i have no tuning software. I rely on my tuner who is going to be taking a look at it here in a few weeks. Although on my interceptor it shows commanded afr of 14.7. but idk whether to trust it of not since it was showing that one of my o2s were dead when they actually werernt.

Commanded AFR of 14.7 & IBPW 6.5-7ms @ idle seems odd to me.
Do you have a WBO2?
A few weeks is long time to wait.

Sounds like you might wanna look for a new tuner...

After start enrichment needs work (hence the high IPW then settling down)...

Startup airflow tables probably need work too...
