Is my PCM toast?
Is my PCM toast? 2005 Silverado 5.3l
I've been trying for the past couple weeks now to get my PCM to connect to an OBDII Scanner. No matter what, it just doesn't connect. I initially tried hooking it up to the silverado harness and powering it through that, but have had no luck. I then tried every single bench tuning harness diagram I could find, and again, no luck. I need to get VATS turned off as well as get it tuned for LS1 injectors. The tuner uses HPTuners, and hasn't been able to connect either.
When I had it plugged in to the silverado harness, it did ground the check engine light, as well as click on and off the fuel pump relay.
Should I just purchase a new PCM? I can't think of anything else to try.
If I do, I'll be going with the corvette PCM, TAC, APP, and TB. I wanted to use the vette TB anyway in my swap due to clearance issues, so this could work out for the better.
