Refrase--> Dash/gauge cluster issues

Refrase--> Dash/gauge cluster issues 99 LS1 T/A-- My battery died last week, had the alternator tested and it is still good. Got a new battery, put it in, everything seemed to be working ok but now every time I start my car my fuel, tac, and speedometer guages dont register right away. oil pres, volts, and temp come up ok. The speedo and tac also do a full sweep when i start it. The fuel guage comes on ok when i turn on the ignition but when i turn it over is when they all die, then it runs for about 3 seconds and the guages come back up just fine. It also resets my trip miles everytime I start it. Any idea what might be causing this?
