I know this is simple, but I can't remember the sequence. I had to make a manual throttle/idle adjustment on my throttle body (1998 style LS1 cable throttle). I actually had it open by 1% at all times so it wasn't ever going to total idle control.

I have it adjusted now to 0, but I can't remember if I am to leave it unpluged, key on...key off...etc. so the PCM recognizes the position.

I got a high TPS idle error code after making the adjustment, so I know I am missing something here.

Key off.
Unplug TPS.
Turn key on for 5 seconds.
Key off.
Plug in TPS.
Turn key on. Closed throttle should be 0%.
