Default t56 pcm controlling 4L60e? Please read!!!

The PCM is from a M6 LS1 Fbody and I copied 4L60E files over to the existing tune file.

Do I need to reflash my PCM to a 4L60E LS1 fbody and then transfer my existing engine tune over to it??

Don't follow what you are doing... did you get another PCM and you have a good known tune from your car as it is now? Is the PCM from the same year/operating system? If I follow you correctly, you should be able to full flash your tune into the new PCM...

Yes you need to do a write entire with an auto file and then copy over your engine tune after doing that. With HP tuners you will have to have a license for the pcm and a license for the auto file you are loading.

I did that last night and then my car wouldn't idle without foot on pedal.

I am going to do this next week.. I am going to go to the dealer and have them flash a tune from an automatic and then retune it to the tune I am running in the car now. I'll let you know how it works out.

That is what I did got it flashed to auto with a TechII and then added my engine tune. I was told by HP tuners support that the segment swap was not my best option and I wasn't going to waste 2 credits to license an auto file to do it myself.
