How do I make it start?

Ok I just bought a 93 Trans Am for parts but he didn't have the keys to it. Well before I got the car the black part of the key switch was broken out and the two wires broken. So I took a drill and drilled what was left of the key switch out so I could turn it on and off to unlock the wheel. Now when I turn the key on the security light flashes. How can I bypass the security system if I don't know what kind of key I had to get the right resistor?
Thanks

2 wires going to the tumbler that I believe are white. If you don't have a key, try cutting those wires and reconnecting them through a 10k potentiometer and leaving the tumbler wires out of the circuit. Adjust the pot and slowly increase resistance until you see the security light go away. I'm not sure the security light will go away without cycling the ignition switch btw.
I believe there are 15 resistance values that it can be. Only one is outside the 10k range.
They are as follows. Try each value and cycle the ignition with a start attempt.
1. 402ohms
2. 523
3. 681
4. 887
5. 1130
6. 1470
7. 1870
8. 2370
9. 3010
10. 3740
11. 4750
12. 6040
13. 7500
14. 9530
15. 11801

Once you find the resistor value plug it into the VATS connector under the dash - here's a diagram: http://shbox.com/1/vats_bypass.jpg
