efi live cable
efi live cable does anyone know what you need for a cable for efi live a guy i met says he has the software but he does not have the cable. or do you still have to buy everything? I tried to get efi lives number but could not find it. thanks scott.

The software is free and is available from the EFILive website.
Do not let anyone sell you the software.
You have to buy the cable/hardware, your choices are:
- scan only: AutoTap or EFILive ScanOnly.
- tuning: EFILive Scan&Tune.
Be aware of this:
EFILive has two interfaces:
- V1 is the older one,
- V2 is the newer one.
Anyone who has a V1 may opt to apply the V1 purchase toward an upgrade purchase of a V2... however, when this has be done, the V1 can no longer have new PCM licenses added to it (i.e. it must have 1 unused license on it to be of any value as a flashing tool on your car; if all the licenses have been used up, then it won't be able to flash your car)...
If someone tries to sell you a V1, first get it's serial number and contact EFILive to find out if it has already been used in a V1->V2 upgrade, and then get the seller to show you how many unused licenses it has remaining.
When in doubt, contact EFILive (goto EFILive website and see Contact Us).
