Default any difference in the LS PCMs for camaro?

I'm trying to gather some parts for my efi 24x conversion on my LT1. I plan on using HP tuners to tune the car afterward.

I have a quick question on the LS PCMs for the Fbody, are they all the same from 98-02? or are there differences and some I should avoid?

Also, same question on the wiring harness. i know the 98 harness is a little different, but not sure how much they changed year over year.

First question, are you goin to run drive by wire or cable? If you are going to use drive by cable, you can use any '896 or '411 RED/BLUE PCM and put the correct tune in it for your engine. These pcms were used from 99-02 in all cars and various trucks. If you are going to run drive by wire, you must use the 411.

Regarding harness, any of the PCMs previously mentioned will work with a 99-02 pinout.

Hope this helps.

thanks for that, that really helps! I think i'm going to go with the 411, i will be cable throttle on my lt1, but if i ever change to a ls motor, it's nice to have the drive by wire option.

so i need a 99-02 harness ?

Yes. A 99-02 harness will be pinned correctly. This could be for a camaro/firebir/truck. By the way, not sure which, but either the cam or crank sensor is on the front of the engine with the EFI Connection setup, you will need an extension harness for this. Everything else is similar to the LT1 layout. If you are looking for one PM me.
