tach signal

tach signal so i just swapped my car over to a th400 and in the process i did some weight reduction. the problem i noticed last night at the track was that the shift light was no longer working. so today i did some searching on here and come to find out the pin#10 ( white wire ) where my light is getting the signal from also is linked to the cruise control which i removed. where else can i tap into the tach signal or what would even be better is how do i remedy the situation so i can use the wire its currently connected to? it seems as if my factory tach is way off. thanks for the help.

i got my brake and everything else wired up today. fast forward to a few hours ago. i went to the track to try to run on the brake and low and behold the shift light didnt work again. this thing is trying to **** with me. worked fine in the garage then quit at the track. im gonna take it off the pcm and try to connect it to a coil tomorrow and see if that helps.
