Default 98 pcm tuning

my question is why do us guys with the 98s have limited pcm tunning? what causes it? and if i was to swap to a newer pcm ive read i have to repin the pcm connectors, does mean i just have to swap the pins around??

Yes, its a mater of moving wires around on the PCM connectors, it also requires a segment swap of the fuel gauge portion of the tune so you gas gauge will work, one of the best improvements, you can make
