Default Wideband O2 Bung Placement?

I am wanting to install a Wideband in the car, but had a question on where to place it. I didn't know if it should go on the drivers side bank or passengers side? Or if it should be where they merge? Or if it mattered?

Anywhere before the cats, and before any exhaust leaks.

Not running cats. Does it matter it's just drawing from one bank? Or should it be somewhere in the merge drawing an average from both banks?

Most people run them on one side, after the collector. I have them in both sides personally, My FAST wideband has two sensors so I know whats going on on both sides of the engine.

I am going to wire my LC-1 on the driver side and have NB and WB outputs used so I can remove my stock NB on the driver side. I do plan to change over the pass side once I tune to check for my sanity for a few runs while tuning. I will be using the stock NB O2 sensor location on my headers.
my 2 cents

about a foot back from the collector minimum AND keep it at the 9 oclock to 3 oclock positions... don't let it set down low in the pipe...

Could someone verify this? Im assuming since you can use the NB o2 spot and run it as both that it doesnt need to be a foot back from the collector or am i crazy? I have seen people weld the second bung right after the NB one also.

Ive always kept my O2 sensor between 10 & 2 o'clock, this is simply to keep moisture from condensation from collecting on the sensor.

A foot back from the collector is an attempt to not get a reading that may be influenced largely by one cylinder.

This seems to make the most sense to me. Running it getting a reading from both banks. Is FAST the only one that allows you to use two sensors?
