Default Running lean on both banks and idle issues

SES light came on the other day and threw codes for both banks running lean. It also wants to die while sitting at a stop light, i have to keep my foot on the gas just a little bit. Never had this problem before and i'm not really sure what to look at first. Any help would be great!

Try unplugging the MAF and see if it runs better, Check fuel pressure and volume

Yea I second the unplugging the maf and seeing what happens. Can you log your trims while cruising?

check fuel pressure, check for vacuum leaks and intake cracks.

I'll try uplugging the MAF and no i don't have a way of logging anything.

So, if i unplug the MAF and it runs better....then its the MAF?

P0171 and 174? Lean on both banks. What is common to both banks? What is lean? The EPA says >14.7 is lean. Too much air(unmetered) or not enough fuel(for the amount of metered air) will send you lean. Are you LTFTs maxed out to the + side? Propane the top end while watching the STFTs. If the problem is a leak you should find it. Your STFTs will momentarily spike when you hit a bad spot. Check fuel pressure and volume(at least a pint in 30 sec.).

Yes that would indicate a MAF problem. Could just be dirty which is common especially with K&N filters. The MAF is not measuring the air properly hence the computer doesn't provide the right amount of fuel.

The code setting criteria is the fuel trims adding 23% for at least 6 seconds
