EGR, AIR Delete SES light question
EGR, AIR Delete SES light question I want to do the EGR AIR delete on my 00 Trans Am. All i want to know Is what I will need to permanently delete the code from my PCM. I think the code number is like P0405 or something like that. I understand I can get it tuned out, but can i also buy a scanner and delete the code myself. Or do i need to buy something like an hp tuner and tune the code. Any help would be great.

a scanner/code reader will just clear the code for the time being... but it will come back, because it won't permanently disable the necessary trouble codes and egr/air strategy in the tune file...
you need to get a tune done in order to do it correctly...

well, if you own a diablosport predator, I'm a diablosport custom tuner and can do a custom tune for ya for that for $30...
if you don't, then you need to find a shop or someone with HPTuners or EFILive that will do it... and not sure what they'd charge ya...
