1998 Formula pcm options

1998 Formula pcm options I just bought a 1998 formula. Its a roller and was originally an auto car. Id like to put a 6 speed in it. The car currently doesnt have a engine/trans harness or pcm.
I found a 1998 engine/m6 harness for sale ($200), but I'm wondering at this point if it would be beneficial to swap in a 99&up harness/pcm. What would be involved in connecting the interior harness to a 99 up? I could get a different cluster if needed and I have a fuel tank out of a 00 camaro.
I will be putting the motor from my 02 Trans Am into the car since I have a new motor for it.
