Piston Protection & TVS2300 tune

Piston Protection & TVS2300 tune I did a search, only found two threads that even mention it, and only one actually discussed it in any detail, but it is 3 years old.
A couple days ago I started tuning my wifes 05 A4 GTO with a TVS 2300
The piston protection enable is set at over 8000 rpm on more than one tune I have looked at, including the factory tune I found on the HP Tuners site.
Anyone here actually enable it, or just using the PE table and ignore/disable the piston protection function?
