passenger side near the firewall in the engine compartment.
If all you did was a gear change you might ask if what a local guy would charge to change in the pcm for you. I would do it for the cost of the points I have to spend to do it. That way your car isn't down for a couple of days. A local person would be able to do it in under 10 mins in your driveway. Check the the regional forums on the main page to see if anyone near you is willing to do this for the cost of the points.
