Default FAST Intake

If i switch from a LS6 intake to a FAST intake will i ave to retune my car for the new intake ?

Car is already tuned.....see signature for info

Any changes to capacities for bringing air into an engine or pushing exhaust out would dictate a change to the tune for a car in order to maximize power and reliability.

If you've got a wideband 02 on the car and your AFR is safe/in-check and you don't care about maximizing performance, you don't _have_ to tune it.

Usually when you improve intake airflow the car will go lean on your and the PCM will compensate by trying to add more fuel, usually not enough and you can experience a dangerous lean condition. Again, depends on the other parts on the car, air temps and other variables. Always best to check that and stay in the "know" with a wideband O2.

Thanks for the info, purchased a wideband......upgrading my hp tuners to the MPVI pro version

If you are going from a 78mm TB to a 90mm TB too, your idle airflow setting will need considerable tuning. It is not as simple as dropping on a new intake/TB and running with the old tune. Your idle, street manners will be very different.
