Default Stock c5 tuning?

I just bought a 99 c5 that has catback, gutted cats and intake. I'm throwing it on the dyno tomorrow to get a baseline and do a little tuning before I start modding. I'm used to tuning my 402 Firebird and turbo truck so I'm not sure what you can really do with something that is stock. Should I just work on AF and timing a little or is there anything else that helps? I'm sure the gains won't be much but I'm thinking these things run pretty rich from the factory. Thanks

It makes a big diff in the mid-range, a bit on the high end. I'm almost done doing my nearly stock c5z.

Midrange timing is your biggest fix.
Timing up top will be your next but is very fuel Dependant.

Other then that they seem to like a little more fuel up top, here in the midwest, because of the Ethanol that they are running in the fuel.

Remove the skipshift, (if still there) fix some of the Tip-in spark reduction, and a couple other little areas.

Should be able to knock it out in like 5 pulls or so.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The dyno didn't have a wideband so I ended up just doing three baseline pulls. It made 318/327 on the stock tune so I'm happy for now. In a couple of weeks I will have the intake, cam and pulley on I will stick my wideband in for when I go back.

a/f ratio, timing and maf tune will get you where you want. Also, basic stuff like the trans, fans, COT etc.
