afr wrong?
afr wrong? i am completely new to tuning. i have efilive and a innovate wideband on my swap car. engine is an 03 lq4, with the stock lq4 tune (just had a mail order tuner remove vats, egr, etc). the car runs, but now that i have a wideband on it i'm getting way lean readings around 20:1 afr. the gauge it came with and the efilive serial connection to the wideband read the same. would the engine even stay running if it was really that lean? i'm wondering what to look for to determine if that is right or if i need to be searching for exhaust leaks or something. i can't really see exhaust leaking, but maybe its just a small leak. help please guys, thanks, nick
as far as i can tell, the calibration completed. it does flash and read 7-8 for a few minutes when i turn the key on. that happens whether i start it or just turn the key to on not start. it runs though, but seat of the pants feel is maybe down on power a little. but i'm just guessing, and i haven't really been driving it hard at all either.

+1 what shoemike said, use the LM Programmer software and view what Stoich AFR the LC-1 is programmed to.
Also log serial Lambda and serial EQR to see where they are at (you can trust these two because they do not depend on the Stoich AFR programmed into the LC-1).

well, as far as i caould tell the stouich set was wrong. i did change that to gasoline (14.7).
i did a little logging after changing that. with it idling along fine, efilive said i had a lambda of 1.701, AFR of 25.00, and EGR of 0.587.
any ideas what would cause all that?

Does the Logworks software and EFILive data match?
If you're still getting a bad reading, the sensor maybe shot.
Connect the analog wires and build a calc_pid based on the Lambda range.
This will show you if there is an issue with the serial input/output of either device.
Make sure your V2 firmware is up to date.
