Mine sits in a laptop bag in the closet when not is use.

Cool. I just left mine in the ash tray. When I need it, I pull it out.

i didn't mount mine or plan on it....i've got it on the passenger side floor board or seat with the OBDII cable running underneath the dash, behind/below the HVAC controls so there are no cables in the way while i'm driving. if someone else is in the car, they hold the laptop and do what i tell them
