Default Point me in the right direction

Im doing a head and cam swap soon and i want to be able to tune my car myself for several reasons. First, because both my brothers have f-bodies and ill be able to tune thiers too(i know if i use something like HP tuner ill have to buy more credits for thier cars, but they can pay that) second, ive been working on an ls1 swap into a 1967 corvette and i would like to be able to tune that aswell.

so it seems best that i learn to do this myself.

what do i need to have to start? where should i look. Ive never tuned a car before so id appreciate the help
