408 Crank sensor problem HELP!!!!

Default 408 Crank sensor problem HELP!!!!

New motor with a 6.0 n 4'' stroke Eagle crank(24x). Car starts & runs but keep getting crank position not verified code. The idle air controller keeps closing all the way once car starts up, so it dies after running for a while. Tried another crank sensor same problem. At start timing is 23 degree, timing stays the same while idle but fuel goes crazy. All verified through H.P. Tuner software. Any help would be appreciated

Did you do a crank relearn procedure using the HP tuners scanner? If not, try that. New cranks often need it.

Crank Sensor Relearn is for misfire detection only. Fuel goes crazy really tells everyone a lot. If the IAC is going to 0 then the motor is getting too much air from somewhere else.

^^^So if the PCV hose (from valve cover to intake tube) were disconnected would th the Crank Relearn code be thrown along with Random Misfire??

Relearn not done yet, but random misfire happens while motor is running. Firing order change after each start.
