Question installed 8.1L maf sensor on 2001 t/a

i installed 8.1L maf sensor on my 2001 t/a
now it seems to run a lot richer am i in need of a new computer tune and if so what would be a good tuner to use
i would like to get program for my laptop and teach myself how to tune
there are only a handfull of tuners in my area any suggestion

I'd say that you probably got a defective one. It looks like those were used on 5.3s, 6.0s,4.0's(bonneville),5.7's, and 8.1's....according to the interchange information that I have available to me.

i never thought to test it out caus it came off of a running truck ill scan it tomorrow with the genesis scan tool and ck the fuel trim
arent maf calibrated for specific engines?

No. Tunes are calibrated for specific MAFs. All you've done is create a mismatch between the calibration in the PCM and the hardware on the car.

that makes sense i will put stock 75 mm back on and run it
and when i get a tuner program reinstall larger maf and match everything up

ok iscan the computer for codes
both front o2 sensors not switching correctly
most likely got wipped out by running to rich
and the LTFT is -1.6 both sides
hopefully 2 new o2 sensors and stock maf sensor
will fix this also had a knock sensor code
any info would help
