98 tuning question
98 tuning question I put an auto in my 98 6 speed car. Reflashed my pcm to a 98 auto vin and then copied all my tables back in engine wise. Now for some reason my car will not idle. Seems to be running fine but will not idle. I had to turn the idle screw way up to get it to idle. Any ideas?
Without looking at your tune file is hard to help.
I'd start with the idle airflow tables. An automatic transmission gives more load at idle than a manual, so you need to give it more air.
Then play with idle spark.
Adjust IAC and make sure it works properly. It need to have room to raise and lower engine speed.
Adjust TB screw to closed position until TPS volts are 0.67 or less, then do a TPS reset.
You may need to drill the TB (if is not already)
