Diagnose LS1 with a diagnostic tool
Code scanners are pretty useless in my opinion.
There are two PIDs for each cylinder you can monitor which tell a lot about the individual cylinder's performance...Misfire Current and Misfire History. Any non-zero data on any of these means you may have a problem such as injector flow variation or ignition system issues.
I also monitor Long Term Fuel Trim data, comparing the two cylinder banks. They should be within 1-2% of each other. Any significant imbalance here is also a potential indicator of trouble.
The "Professional" version also has a spiffy Cylinder Balance Test, which spins the engine idle speed up to a configurable number and freezes the IAC. It then disables each cylinder and measures the drop in RPM. A cylinder that's not putting out will show up clearly.
i figured they would be junk,, but who knows.
I have to agree with Crain... handheld scanners / tuners are like comparing candles to florescent shop lights, they give a taste of what you need but have lots of limitations when it is time to really get down and dirty.

Those clones are junk.
