Default Retune for tire size?

Anyone know if I'll need to retune when going from 275/40/17's all around to my new 15" setup, 165/80/15 and 275/50/15's? Just wondering how bad speedo will be off, and if it will affect shifts points and such.

Its all about tire height. If its different, your tune needs adjusted. How badly speedo off and shift points affected depends on how much height changed.

Yeah, I guess what I'm asking is 275 = 275 no matter wheel size and width?

I just found a tire calculator and the 17's were 25.66, 15's are 25.88 ..guess I'm good, sorry for the noob question, didn't think it through.

I just made this change a couple of months ago and nothing had to be changed. Speedo, shift points, etc. are all good.
