Homemade cable from wideband to logger?
I need to log the output from my AEM wideband. I am using ECMPro for the logging software. That might be important but I doubt it. The important thing is I am thinking about making my own usb cable to bring the signal from the aem to the laptop to use as aux input for the ecmpro logger.
I've got quite a few old usb cables laying around and I cut the female end off of one. The usb has a red, green, white and black wires. If the blue wire (analog) from the aem is connected to the green wire of the usb cable and the black usb is connected to ground, the aem signal should be able to be picked up at the laptop.
Is this possible or am I still asleep?

I couldn't get the usb cable idea to work. I broke down and bought the female serial connector and the serial to usb adaptor. I used hyperterminal and it displayed what the gauge was reading.
