knock retard question
ok so i was going over my logs from two track runs and noticed i have some knock retard happining with my dreaded 98 pcm. i was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas as to what could be causing it.i currently am using a mail order from frost and the car seems to be running strong.
on one pass in 1st gear pcm was pulling .052 degrees between 2851-5176 rpm,and on my 3-4 shift it pulled .17 degrees during the rpm drop of 5955-4750 rpm. second pass it pulled 1.05 degrees on the 1-2 shift rpm range
5680-5460. and lastly in 4th it pulled .087 from 4587-4954 rpm.
car has a stock 2001 6.0l lq4 longblock with boltons and ls1 intake. had a issue on the previous motor due to my exhaust banging around but that issue has been fixed. i know its not alot of timing being pulled but its slightly concerning.i also can probly upload the log if need be but there is some certin info like tps% and injector duty cycle missing.any one have any thoughts on where to start?
thanks joe
