Default 30% tps at wot

well just like it says my car is at 30% tps when i m wot. I m assuming my car is in some sort of limp mode. I ve changed the tps sensor and map sensor. borrowed a maf sensor and that wasnt it. Anyway i m stumped what would cause this. it ran great and then it just starting doing this. btw the car is an m6 99 camaro with a stock 01 6.0l and zo6 cam and boltons. scanned it but didnt get any dtcs.

Ummm.... did you happen to look at the throttle body while someone floors the pedal to see if it is actually going wide open? Maybe your throttle cable adjustment is whack...

okay with the igniton on and the car not running the tps reads correctly up to 100% when fully opened. I also scanned the car again with hpt instead my crapping handheld scanner and got 4 codes. b1001, u1000, u1301 and u 1016. anyone know what that means ( i know what hpt said but i mean do i need a new pcm)

It is common to have U codes or no communication between modules after flashing a PCM. Dump the codes and see what if any come back. Some take 100 key cycles to clear history.

If you were adjusting the throttle blade and had to connect/disconnect the sensor to reset it to zero then you may have pinched a wire at the connector for the TPS and it is fluctuating as the wires make connection. I replaced my pigtail a few years ago for this it's like a 7-10 dollar pigtail.

I had my hpt hooked up when I was messing my car. It was reading all the way to 100% as I had my bro open the throttle. Someone else had the same problem but doesn't say how he solved it and he hasn't been on since Dec. Someone suggested that it was a tunning issue. That a table needed to be maxed out. Again doesn't say which one. Thinking of swapping pcms with my bros to see if that's it. Any other ideas guys

I called ams and talked to larry and one of their techs. they said they ve never encountered this before which kinda frustrates me bc other than the bcm i cant even begin to guess where this is coming from. I checked all the grounds on the engine and the fuses. I did install an sts kit and then this problem arose so i took it off and cant pin it down. post up anything you find on yours

i would make sure the bracket for the throttle cable is completely tight. had mine loosen up causing a different reading when going wot. there is a table u can adjust i cant think of it off the top of my head. did this on mine when i had this problem.

its def. not the cable or the bracket its something to do with the tune or a sensor. If you can think of the table post it up. i put to default settings with hpt several times but didnt help. It seems like its gotta be a sensor or something stupid and we can figure it out. someone with an ls2 had the same thing but it was due to a missing bcm from a donar car

Have you tried running new wires from the PCM to the sensor?

i m at third ave and rt. 83 pretty much where are you. No i havent tried running new wires bc voltage checked out and it was reading correctly with motor on before when i had hpt hooked up. In hpt it would show a black bar on the tps read out just above the 20% mark at 30% I would sel. default settings and the bar would go away and come back the second i touched the throttle. weird. I ll probably take the haynes manual and check the schematics and try running new wires and some other stuff today.

i forgot to mention when i hooked the scavenger pump i spliced into the wrong wire. It was a green and white wire on the 38 OR 9 pin. anyway know what thats for, cant find it in the haynes manual in the wiring schematics. I thinking maybe i popped a fusible link in the harness somewhere
