Can EFILive remove the speed limiter?
I have EFILive V5 just upgraded to version 6. It has some bi-directional controls, and I can list the speed limiter, it says its limited to 259kmh, which works out to over 150mph, but when acceletaring in 5th gear it gets to 140mph and suddenly wont do anymore so I'm guessing the limiter is really at 140.
I have the AutoTap cable, if EFILive cant do it can I buy LS1Edit that can use the same hardware?
Dan.

EFILive is bidirectional only when it is connected - it doesn't "write" and save data to the PCM.
I don't know what the export speed limiters are set for, but if you can get to 140, that's probablly indicative of a 160MPH limiter (163MPH = 260Kmh) - when you say "won't do anymore" do you mean the engine cuts out (RPM DROPS) or there doesn't seem to be any more power, with no change in RPM (and sound) of engine?
