Rev limiter Question..
Rev limiter Question.. Went to Denton Dragway and got a new best.. I ran a 7.28 @ 93.40 mph with a 1.60 60' @ 37xx lbs.. I was tagging the rev limiter too.. This could be why my mph seems off..
How much ET and mph could I possibly be losing from hitting the limiter shifting into third about 3/4 down the 1/8 track? Do I need to have the shift point lowered or the rev limiter raised? The car was shifting at 6600rpm and the limiter is 6900 or 7000rpm in edit.

What does your tuner/TSP say is a safe rev limiter for your cam/heads set up? If they say 6900 is fine, than will raising it to 6800 going to let you cross the line in 2nd vice 3rd? I am a stick and by the looks of it your are an A4. If you are safe (engine wise) than try it. You'll find out soon enough if it will help you times. Good bet is that you'll still fall just short of the 1/8 still shifting at 6800. No idea on your rear end or tire size. You could also possible (if you a "good" friend) try different size of tires.
