PCM not ready

PCM not ready I am having a problem with my PCM not not setting a ready code for my Cats. I have a 01' WS6 with LT's and off road pipe with LS1 edit deleting the rear o2's. I installed a A/F ratio gauge and spliced into the PCM. Any ideas how to get the code to set ready?????????? TIA...Scott

The readiness test should still complete with or without cats. It's just that if you don't have cats, you will then trip a MIL and stored DTC.
I am currently having an issue trying to get my PCM to complete the readiness tests for the O2 heater and the cat eff. tests myself, but they used to be complete (even without cats) until I disconnected my battery. Now I'm just having a hard time getting them to all complete again.

are your rear o2's still connected but just deleted with EDIT? i still don't see how the PCM would know if the cats are operating without the rear o2's showing their operating, unless it simply determines it on a time basis alone which i doubt.
and your a/f guage wil bounce around alot, that is normal other than when it is cold or at wot. it is just the pcm trying to maintain a stoich a/f ratio.

That is the whole purpose of the test, to determine if the cats are working or not, and if you have removed them (or if they go bad) it will run the test, cats will fail, and MIL will trip storing a DTC.
The only way that the test won't ever run is if you turned off both the TEST and the SES light for a particular DTC when using Edit.
Again, all my tests ran/completed just fine without cats on my car before my last battery disconnect. It's just that you'll get a DTC and MIL/SES if you pull them off without sims or proper tuning. Now if I could just get the damn things to complete again....

PS. How did you know your sims went bad? Did you get a SES? If so, what codes did you get?.....
Sconnor I see you are in MD, just curious because I do ET in Ga. and in our OBD program 2000 and older cars/light trucks can have 2 not ready's and still pass, 01 and up will only be allowed 1 not ready and still be able to pass does MD require that all readiness monitors be set to ready? Thanks
