Would this be possible ? Hey Guys I have a question I have been pondering on and I was wondering if you guys could help me out. My question is say you have a car with an ob2 port and you need to pass emmisions would it be possible to put a carbed engine in you car and somehow tune your old ecu to provide a constant emissions. So you could be running an engine that would not pass emissions but they would hook into your ob2 see your emissions are good check if you have cats and your on your way ? I know this would be highly illegal but still would it be possible ?
Yea that's also true but when I took my car they turned it on, checked the cel, hooked into the ob2, checked the cats with a mirror and let me go. But I am in Maryland so it may be diffrent

Yes as far as the PCM is concerned. Make a copy of the tune and set all DTCs to "no error reported". All readiness test will immediately show complete. Get your window sticker. Then reflash back to the old tune after you're done.

I dont think its a big deal, if someone wants to cheat to get around emissions there going too lol. But I thought it would be possible I'm sure it would take alot of tuning ! Also how are the guys who run carbed engine in 3-4th gen camaros passing emissions ?
